Cheap Cheap Jewelry Boxes!

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Picking out the accessories for my ceremony and the supplies for my reception wasn’t half as hard as trying to choose something nice for my bridesmaids. I had a really difficult time finding exactly what I wanted to get for them. I saw all kinds of possiblities for wedding favors for bridesmaids and wedding guests on the Internet. Trying to select just the right one is where it got difficult. I found some bargains on thank you presents, too. One particular eight-piece set I found saved me a lot of money; it had a pillow for the ring bearer, a basket for the flower girl, a pen and sign-in book for guests, and several other things, all in one. That was a big savings. Instead of having to buy each piece separately, I was able to purchase it all together at a great low price.
I was just browsing through possible thank you presents when I finally came across something the women standing up for my wedding would like: a beautifully adorned jewelry box. Really, there were multiple wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. The choices for what to get my bridesmaids were so many that I finally just went back to planning the rest of the wedding because my head was spinning. I still had to get supplies and accessories for the reception even though the wedding ceremony was all but taken care of. One thing that was on my plate, so to speak, was finding a wedding cake topper, and another was picking out wedding gifts for my friends and relatives, so I paid attention to those two next. I picked out some really cute bride and groom salt and pepper shakers and chrome bottle openers shaped like doves. The package that the dove bottle openers came in was so pretty that I just used that and didn’t even get any special boxes. My man got the groomsmen a neat little multi-purpose tool that had a tiny scissors and a toothpick and all kinds of weird gadgets.
We got a cake topper of pair of newly weds locked in a loving embrace. I almost picked one out that had embossed silver intials and crystals, but after looking through a whole bunch of possibilities, I went with our mini bride and groom. I had put it off while I took care of buying the rest of the supplies we’d need, but it was time at last to select a gift for the women standing up in my wedding. They each got girls jewelry boxes, and inside of it was some unique wedding jewelry. I chose a beautiful rhinestone bracelet for all of them. It wasn’t over-the-top, even though it might seem that way. There were a lot of choices of discount wedding jewelry available, which meant I could get them something really nice, and still save money. The pearl wedding jewelry I picked out to wear at my wedding was from the same spot. The quality of the jewelry is top-notch, and the prices are deeply discounted. The women in our wedding were elated with what I got them, and the men seemed pretty content with their thank you presents, too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My groom’s brother caught the garter, and my sister, who’s also not dating anyone, managed to grab the bouquet. Is it just coincidence, or is it fate? If they did get together and someday took the plunge, he would still be my brother in law, but my sister would also be my sister in law too. You never know!

What A Wonderful Cheap Memory Book!

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

We go through a lot of days that we’d like to remember forever in our lifetimes. There is your bridal shower, wedding day, baby showers and so many more ocassions you want to hang on to the memories of. That’s why my wedding memory books are some of the most treasured items in our home. I have one cheap memory book devoted to the bridal shower my sister put on for me with some of my friends. I’ve got so many great pics of that very special night I shared with my friends. I have shots of all the crazy stuff we got into that night, along with some of how gorgeous-looking the décor of the party was. We really had a wild time and I’ve got super photos to prove it. We went to a spot where there were male dancers and snapped a few photos there. They were really awesome up there on the stage. That is definitely a night I’ll never forget, that was the first and only time I’ve ever been to a place that had male dancers. They weren’t the Chippendales, but they were really great to watch.
When I chose all the accessories and reception supplies for our wedding, I also made sure I had a memory book for our photos of the wedding and reception. There were an awful lot of photos to fill the pages. As a matter of fact, we had so many that I bought a pair of them, and it turns out that we needed both of them. Even after filling our wedding photo album with pictures there were still many photos left to find places for. There were also pages for our guests signatures in one of the albums. Our last initial was on the front of our beautiful personalized memory books, with my first initial to the left of it and my husband’s to the right of it. The fabric on the book is very pretty, and with that and the satin ribbon on them, they really are quite charming. There are also refill pages available if needed, and we certainly need them.
I have picture books for every major moment that I’ve lived through. I’m sure as the years progress I’ll have even more keepsake memory books filling up my closet shelves. Baby shower books, a wedding book, and the one from that bachelorette party are the ones that I have currently. My boy is one year old and my daughter’s about to turn three. We got her a pink book and him a blue one because we decided to find out ahead of time what sex they’d be. All of their momentous occasions are recorded in there, such as their first steps and baptisms. The baby memory books have pictures, handprints, and birth certificates stored there, too. I also put an invitation in the shower books and wedding photo book too. There are picture galleries with fewer photos than I have in my closet.
My husband complains all the time about the space these books take up on our closet shelf, but it’s like this, I want to hold on to all the great and special moments in our lives, and the best way to do this is through pictures. With the new video camera I just bought, it’s going to be a little different, because now I have to clear room on some shelves in the den for the videos I’ll be making. I’ll probably have to make a lot more room, considering all the memory books we have and the ones I’ll be collecting through the next few years, plus plenty of videos of the kids growing up. Hey, a girls got to have her memories to look back on. These years ahead are really important to a mom and I don’t want to miss out on one minute of it.

Perfect Keepsake Gift!

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

I decided that the day I got married was going to be a memorable day for everyone that was close to me. That’s why I decided to choose my accessories and gifts with the thought of momentos in mind. The gifts I bought were meant to be reminders of what an outstanding wedding day and night we had together. That’s why I started with keepsake gifts and worked my way down to a discount keepsake gift. There were a lot of wedding items to choose from on the internet, with suggestions of very nice items for both ceremonies and receptions. I was able to find everything I needed for my wedding reception as far as accessories go.
I had a florist come in and make up darling arrangements to put in the middle of each reception table, and alongside them were little ceramic pots with lace that held candles inside. My place card holders were adorable, and I got those on the web as well
I found some precious little picture frames with beads around them that I could use for my place card holders. As far as gifts for our guests went, I made sure I gave them all practical favors that would also make great wholesale keepsake gifts. I just never saw the point to giving out wedding favors that no one can get any use out of. Those kind of party favors just end up in the trash or sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust. My loved ones were going to get something they’d genuinely appreciate, if I had anything to say about it. The first thing I picked out for everyone was a bistro coffee mug. It’s a product that any person can utilize, and the ones I got looked really cool. I didn’t even have to worry about repackaging them because the containers they came in were so classy-looking already; all I did was put a decorative hang tag on every one of them.
I found so much online that I could use for our wedding reception. One super item we picked out was our wedding cake topper. I wanted a cake topper that had some importance to us.
Playing football in a friend’s yard is what we were doing the first time we met. He tried a tackle that was, let’s just say, unforgettable, so I picked out a cake topper of a bride and groom with a football. The memories of my wedding day and the day we first met are both triggered by that cake topper. [spin]I was really surprised that I had found such a novel wedding cake topper as this one was, and not only that, I also found gorgeous wedding

We Ordered a Beautiful Personalized Wedding Guest Book Online

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

The amount of possibilities can be overwhelming when you’re when putting together a ceremony and reception, but it’s also quite a thrill at the same time. My daughter and I were planning her wedding day together and the hardest part of the whole thing was getting her to make up her mind. She had to select the kind of wedding she wanted to begin with, either one with a specific type of motif, or to go with a more standard type of ceremony. We looked through all the themed wedding possibilities and she just couldn’t decide. Some of the options she kicked around were doing a gardening theme or a sand and surf theme. After all the debating, she ended up with the traditional. Once she made up her mind at last, we got to work putting together the wedding.
The church was reserved, and so was the reception hall, and all of the invitations had been sent out. The wardrobe for both the bride and the wedding party had been picked out already, so we were able to zero in on things that we’d need in order to put on the reception. In addition to finding a wedding guest book and a picture album, there were some other things that we had to pick out yet. We looked through a great selection of wedding guest book sets, some with so many lovely designs to choose from. There were many gorgeous wedding pens to choose from too, that matched with many of the guestbooks. We weren’t quite done picking things out yet and my daughter saw this wedding set with a white satin cover and bow, with rhinestones, that had six pieces. Together with a beautiful wedding garter and unity candle were an adorable flower basket and ring pillow. A
wedding photo guest book came with it. It was astonishing to us to see that many charming accessories and supplies for so low a cost. The picture album we picked out for the special day was really cute; it had all kinds of neat pages for small souvenirs and art. Talk about a wonderful picture book to cherish your memories with.
At last, we got around to buying wedding favors, a topper for the wedding cake, and place cards holders for the reception. All of the rest of it had been dealt with. Our blushing bride picked out a pair of glazed porcelain doves to use as her cake topper. That wedding cake topper will make a lovely keepsake. Next we went for the place card holders, and for those my daughter decided to go with little silver picture frames for all of her guests at the reception. She said she liked those best because after the reception the guests could take them home and use them to display their favorite little picture. She did alright picking out her wedding accessories and reception supplies. She’s excited about having some extra money for the honeymoon since she found such good bargains on most of the things she bought for the wedding.
The wedding ceremony was absolutely fantastic and the reception was gorgeously decorated and got a lot of positive comments. My daughter and her new husband looked so wonderful as they danced their first dance as man and wife. We all did a lot of dancing that night, and I swear my feet still hurt, but it was all worth it, it was a wonderful event that I will remember forever. My little girl was now a wife and would someday be a mother, maybe with a daughter of her own. Well, when that day comes, I know exactly where I’ll go to get the supplies and shower favors for the baby shower I’ll throw. Anything you need to plan, any kind of get-together, is on that site. As far as purchasing things on the web goes, that is my number one place to look.

Wedding Candle Centerpieces

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

There are tons of suggestions for great wedding favor gifts for the people invited to your wedding ceremony and party with you at your reception. You can choose from a variety of picture frame place card holders, whimsical little novelty gifts for beach themes and others, and many more selections of gifts. I chose to go with candle wedding favors because they are very decorative, and you can get a lot of use out of a gift like that. I found just the right wedding favor boxes I wanted to use and I also ordered special hang tags for each.
I also bought lovely wedding unity candles, just to add to the décor of all my reception tables. The candles, decorations, and the gorgeous flower arrangements for my centerpieces really looked fantastic together. It’s not just weddings that have the candle gifts for, graduations, birthdays and many other themed events had candle party favors to choose from, and a really nice candle wedding for bridal shower parties too. There is all kinds of products where I shop, not just the beautiful candles, but I found everything for my wedding accessories and they also have supplies for other types of parties as well.
With all the accessories necessary for a nice wedding and reception, I was really lucky to find a nice five piece accessory set, which included my guestbook, wedding pen set, ring pillow and bridal garter and a really gorgeous little flower girl basket. Buying it in a set was less expensive than buying each piece individually. One of the best things about my online shopping store is the low cost, with so many items at discount prices, including candles wedding favors.
We ordered a customized wedding cake topper and expected to pay a lot more than we actually did for it. They made the wedding couple on our cake topper look exactly like us and it was the talk of the reception. All I had to do was send them a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they did the rest. The three tiered chocolate wedding cake we had made was just gorgeous and was decorated with all red and pink flowers surrounding it. Next to our beautiful cake was the cake serving set I went crazy over, with it’s handles decorated in a gorgeous calla lily design.
The crystal flutes we got for our friends and family were for them to keep and we ordered special bride and groom flutes for our bridal table. There was no point in keeping them, what would I do with 200 champagne flutes? We had enough momentos of our wedding day, like our photo album, topper, wedding guestbook with all the signatures and so much more. Our lovely five piece set that I ordered in gorgeous claret, had our guest book with a small area for little keepsakes, pages for the guests to put their names and list the gifts each guest brought. The guest book comes in handy for making out your thank you cards, and it’s nice to have a record of everyone that shared that day with you. You want to be able to mention the gift they gave you when writing out your thank you cards, it’s much more personal that way.
A few of the guests commented on what unique candle wedding favors we gave them and they really seemed to appreciate them. So, I guess I made the right choice. We were told, by our guests, as we departed for our honeymoon, that it was a fantastic wedding and reception and they all hoped for the best for us. This was truly one of the most unforgettable days in my life.

Any kind of Party Invitations

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

The first thing I did when I decided to give my girlfriend a bridal shower was to put together a list of everything I was going to need for thte shower. At the top of the list was getting a bachelorette party invitation. Dragging myself from shop to shop hoping to find a good deal or a decent selection isn’t my idea of a good time, so I went searching for supplies online. Boy, did I luck out in that department. The options I had were staggering, and the cost was very low. Some of the deals were just incredible. The shower invitations were very high quality with pearl edges and silver writing. The site also had standard party invitations, birthday party invitations, and many other types of invitations.
I found some darling place card holders for the party as well, among other things. The wedding guest book was another present I purchased; it would help the couple keep good records of who gave them which gifts. One style of place card holders caught my fancy. They had these little plastic handbags that I filled with colorful little candies and found place cards with pink lilies printed on them. They looked so nice on the party tables along with the decorations and party favors I chose for everyone. You should see all the cute litte favor boxes you can get for just about any ocassion you are planning on celebrating. Flower decorations were on the containers I picked out, and I put them all on a serving dish on the table that held the gifts. It was a good-looking way to set it up, and everyone there just came by and grabbed a gift. I settled on manicure kits for our thank you gifts, and then I got a few more things to be handed out to the winners of the contests that we were going to hold. Some of the other odds and ends I used for door prizes were adorable little bath soaps, make-up mirrors, and novelty keychains.
Party game suggestions abound on the Internet. If you want to see something humorous, try playing ‘Take It Off,” a game where you have to but a bag on your head and then, when the person running the game tells you to take off one piece of clothing, you have to take one off – and it’s astonishing how many women don’t have it come to mind that they ought to take off the bag. This is really a hysterical game to play. We also played bridal bingo and a couple other funny games. Looking online saved me a ton of money and exposed me to a lot of options I, otherwise, wouldn’t have known anything about. I made out alright purchasing my favors and invitations from them. The things I purchased were well made, and I spent a lot whole less than I thought I would have to, and had a whole lot more choices. Since the website also sold wedding invitations and favors, I let my friend who was about to get married know about it, since I was sure she could use a wide selection to pick from. She’ll have a lot of options when she uses this site, and it will save her a pretty penny, which all newlyweds need. The shower was a hit because of them, I know that much. The attendees all adored their presents and had a wonderful time. The last thing to do is to send them all thank yous for being a guest at the shower. Naturally, I bought the cards for thank yous over the Intenet as well. Now I have to go back online because I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party and they have quite a bit to offer there too.

mikasa accessories

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

All the reception tables were set up with lovely mikasa crystal accessories at a wedding I attended last week. The place settings were so lovely with all the mikasa favorsand gorgeous mikasa crystal glassware. What excellent taste the bride has in decorating a wedding and reception tables. With all the mikasa accessories she had on the tables, it was a picture of elegance.
The place cards rested on the tails of these very beautiful little silver doves. Her centerpieces were quite lovely too and really helped to bring out the ambience of all the accessories she had decorated the tables with. For her centerpieces she had lovely pillar candles with a floral garnish surrounding them. Their choice of wedding favors were something to acknowledge too. Each one of us received beautiful mikasa crystal wedding favors. The favors boxes with the little thank you hang tags was almost as gorgeous as the mikasa crystal favors that were inside.
Five layers of chocolate heaven with chocolate flavored cream cheese on each and every layer was the choice of wedding cakes they had. Their wedding cake topper was really extra special. She found a place online where she got most of her accessories and supplies that make customized cake toppers. They make figurines that look just like the bride and groom for the topper and all it takes is sending them a couple head shots of the happy couple. It was absolutely perfect. I was determined to find out what the name of her online wedding store was so I could have them make up a cake topper like that for my mom and dads’ anniversary wedding.
One of the highlights of the evening was when the bride gave up her garter for the toss. Watching the looks on the guys faces as the groom removed the garter from the brides leg, was priceless. Then watching them fall all over each other, trying to be the lucky guy to catch it. What was really funny was that the winner of the garter toss was talked into participating by the other guys and he was a widower in his 70’s. As the old man walked off with the garter in hand he was smiling from ear to ear.
For the bridal toast we all had crystal champagne flutes, that we were also given to take home, with the names of the bride and groom, and date of the wedding printed on them. After the toast it was time for the bride and groom to take their place on the dance floor for their first dance together as husband and wife. They made such an elegant couple as they danced across the dance floor. The floor quickly filled up with couples right after the wedding couple finished their first dance. I think I over extended myself on the dance floor, my feet ached so badly.
Finally it was time for the bride and groom to depart for their honeymoon, and we all said our good byes. I found out from one of the other guests that they were going to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Looks like their honeymoon will be just as fabulous as their wedding was. The rest of us partied until we couldn’t party no more.
I received my thank you note for my gift and my presence at the wedding and reception, after only two weeks. I was surprised to receive a thank you so soon. She did let me in on her secret online wedding shopping site, where she supplied the mikasa wedding and ordered that customized cake topper from. In fact, I’m getting ready to place my order right now for my mom and dad’s anniversary wedding.

Amazing Discount Jewelry Boxes

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

In my day, jewelry boxes were just a box that all the jewelry went in, but now, you can buy watch jewelry boxes, earring jewelry boxes and boxes that are specifically made for necklaces only. The array of jewelry boxes can be decked out in a plethora of styles and colors. For her wedding day, my daughter got her bridesmaids jewelry boxes, and one for herself as well. That was just the beginning of what I discovered while surfing the web for gift ideas. No matter what look your going for at your wedding, a specific theme or a more customary look, you’ll find loads of suggestions there. The décor my daughter and her groom went with had a fairy tale look and feel to it. She really did look like Cinderella at the ball in her lovely wedding gown and long veil, and I must admit my son in law looked just as good as Prince Charming in his stunning tux. It really was a beautiful wedding. A horse drawn carriage with a driver in classical attire swept the two of them away from the church after the ceremony was over.
At the reception, tulle with tiny white lights was draped in a circle and there were elegant flower vases placed everywhere around the room. An arch with green plants and red and white roses climbing up an arch stood behind the newlyweds’ table, while the wedding guests had at their tables an exquisite bouquet of flowers with sparkles that shimmered silver. She picked out tea light place card holders in the shape of silver doves that made the tables shine even more. Flower and crystals adorned the small jewelry boxes that each lady at the wedding got as a gift. The men were given little key chains with the well known frog prince as a charm. The personalized jewelry boxes for the bridesmaids had black velvet-lined interiors and were made of wood and sliver-plated. Each box had the name and of the bride and groom and the wedding date etched in them. The girls seemed to really like the thank you gift that my daughter picked out. It was a box like I used to have, I had no idea it was a discount jewelry box, it was so expensive looking. Each of the groomsmen received a set of wine gifts and their names etched in a tiny plaque. I felt those were novel thank you gift ideas.
Her wedding cake topper was a really unique little dream castle that really showed off the lovliness of their three tiered wedding cake. My daughter picked out champagne flutes and a cake serving set to tie in with the fairytale-themed cake. Many of her decorations and supplies were top of the line, but she came in well below where I had expected on their wedding budget. As mother and father of the bride, we felt obligated to cover the cost of the wedding, but they were adamant about not accepting our assistance.
I felt the warm tears flow down my face as the two of them gracefully floated around the floor for their first dance. It was as if I were watching the real prince and princess in the Cinderella story dancing together. You would have thought that it was a real princess tossing her garter the way the guys jostled for position to get it; it was a very amusing sight to behold. Everything turned out perfect and my little girl got the kind of wedding and reception she always dreamed of. Now they are on a honeymoon she’s always dreamed of. I can hardly wait for them to get back and tell me all about the fantastic sights they saw.

The Most Affordable Groomsmen Wedding Gifts on the Internet!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

A friend of mine told me about a wedding website that had fantastic wedding accessories and reception supplies at a great low cost, so we checked it out. She was right, they had everything from wedding invitations to wedding favors and none of it was really expensive. They even carry super groomsmen gifts and bridesmaids gifts along with all the other fantastic wedding items they have to offer. Naturally, after getting a look at their inventory, I made the decision to order all my needed wedding supplies and decorations at their online store.
Since we had planned our wedding date to be in December, I wanted to have a winter wonderland wedding and reception and this was the perfect place to get what I needed for it. First I ordered winter wonderland wedding bulletins to use as our wedding invitations. When I went searching for my flower girls basket and the ring boys pillow I found a wedding set that not only had both those things but also, a guestbook, pen set and a lovely wedding garter too. I thought it would cost a lot more than it did for the matching five piece set. I know, after reading a few wedding articles, that many churches won’t allow the tossing of petals for the bride and grooms departure and many couples have chosen bubbles to be blown as they exit the ceremony. So I checked out this online shopping site and found bottles of bubbles with lovely little bubble cards to go with them for our ceremony.
The lovely accessories I ordered were unbelievable. We also ordered our gifts for the bridesmaids, flower girl, ring boy and the rest of the wedding party. My fiance was happy that they had so many cool groomsman gifts ideas for him to choose from.
The groomsman favors of his choosing were glass mugs that had the word groomsman printed on the mug. Since the groomsmen gift and the rest of the people in our wedding was taken care of, I could shop for favors for our friends and family. I had quite a selection of winter themed gifts to pick from for our guests at the reception. The wedding favors I chose were glass winter votive candles with a wintery frosted look for everyone attending the reception. The glass candles had wintery snowflakes all over it. The votive candles came in adorable little wedding favor boxes with a lovely silver thank you tag attached.
The little snow ball ornament place card holders I bought make great little thank you gifts too. There was so much for a beautiful winter wonderland themed wedding, like our cake server set, our champagne flutes and even our funny wedding cake topper. Our topper was of a bride and groom skiing and I had the top layer of our cake made into a mountain of snow for the happy couple to placed upon. The cake really turned out nice and I made sure there were lots of pictures of it for my gorgeous winter wonderland wedding album. Right after we took care of the cake cutting, and my brother in law toasted us, we stepped out on the dance floor for our first dance together as husband and wife. I really felt like a princess in some kind of dream world while we glided across the floor, with everyone watching.
Everyone was having a fantastic time and this reception was perfection from beginning to end. All of my girls in the wedding party loved their thank you gifts as did the guys and their wedding groomsmen gifts. We also got quite a few compliments from our wedding guests about the decorations and the lovely wedding favors they received.

Gorgeous Bride And Groom Wedding Gifts!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

You get favors and gifts at wedding showers, bachelor parties, and bachelorette parties. You can get the future husband or wife a gift chosen from a lot of different options at these gatherings. A number of the gifts my husband and I got were rather remarkable. Of course plain old money works just fine, and that’s what our engagement party gifts consisted of for the most part, but there were a lot of more creative presents as well. Many of the presents we received from our friends and family were small items, like champagne for our wedding, gift cards, sports tickets, and theater tickets. Even though you don’t have to bear gifts at an engagement party, many of our friends and family did anyway.
The guys at the bachelor party got my fiance a shirt that said ‘I survived my bachelor party, but I don’t remember how,’ along with some other crazy shirts and things. A mug with groom on it was another bride and groom gift he got, along with a sun visor and set of wine bottles that were made for a man about to get married. He also got to keep the ball and chain they made him wear all night and an inflatable woman they gave him as gag gifts. The guys had other funny groom wedding gifts they gave him, to ad to the merriment of his bachelor party. The bride gifts I received at my bachelorette party were sweet, although some were meant as gag gifts too. They gave me a shimmering white satin purse with a clasp made of crystal on it and a ribbon on top to boot. There were some feminine items like a manicure set in the bag, along with a tee shirt and pin that were designed for the bride to wear at a bachelorette party. But I think my favorite little novelty bride gift was a throw pillow that said ‘tonight’ on one side, and ‘not tonight’ on the other. What a crazy present that was, and I know I’ll have a lot of fun using that .
We didn’t get any joke bride and groom wedding gifts on our wedding day. We got about three toasters, four blenders and lots of waffle irons, but that is to be expected when you have so many people attending your wedding. We did get some of the things I had written on to our bridal registry, like the china I wanted and the food processor. My husband just adored the billards table and bar set that his parents gave us, and I know we will get a lot of use out of that. The plane tickets to get to the Greek Isles for our honeymoon came from my folks. Our family and other loved ones really gave us some outstanding wedding presents.
Most of all, our friends and family being at our wedding to share that magical experience with us was the greatest gift. We were able to spend our engagement party, wedding, and reception with them, and we are so glad about that. Being surrounded with great, supportive people like them is what makes life so much more enjoyable. It also helps to have friends that care enough to throw you a wild night with a bachelor party or a mind trippin girls night out bash. There is never a dull moment in our lives with the super great friends we have. Thank you notes could never begin to express how much we appreciate their love and support.

A Beautiful Bride Wedding Gift!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

The bachelor party, the girls night out party, and engagement parties, all have one thing in common, the favors and gifts. Such get-togethers present a fun opportunity to give your almost-married friend a unique gift or two. My husband and I received some pretty awesome gift items. Some of the things we got were quite innovative, while most of the people at our engagement party just gave us cash, which was alright with us, every little bit helps when you are just started out. Many of the presents we received from our friends and family were small items, like champagne for our wedding, gift cards, sports tickets, and theater tickets. A lot of our loved ones gave us presents, even though it was not required for engagement parties.
My man’s bachelor party must have been fun because he got some funny tee shirts that they made him wear with funny little phrases printed on the front. A mug with groom on it was another bride wedding gift he got, along with a sun visor and set of wine bottles that were made for a man about to get married. He came home from the party with an inflatable doll and a ball and chain that he said they made him wear the whole time the party was going on. He got other mock gifts for groom besides, that gave them all some laughs. My girlfriends gave me some lovely bride gifts, but I got my share of joke gifts along with them. They gave me a shimmering white satin purse with a clasp made of crystal on it and a ribbon on top to boot. They put a pin and a shirt inside the bag that I had to wear for our night on the town, and there were some make-up and manicure accessories inside as well. They got me a ‘tonight’ pillow that, when you flipped it over, said ‘not tonight’ to go with whatever mood I’m in. What a crazy present that was, and I know I’ll have a lot of fun using that .
At our wedding reception there were no gag gifts, just very nice bride and groom wedding gifts from all of our friends and family. We thought we might get some duplicate gifts, and we did, like a few blenders and a couple more toaster ovens than we really need, but that’s to be expected at such a large ceremony. I was fortunate enough to receive a certain food processor and some fine china that I had requested on my bridal registry. One of the gifts my husband truly loves is his bar side set, which also included a very nice pool table from his dad and mom. The plane tickets to get to the Greek Isles for our honeymoon came from my folks. We received a lot of wonderful gifts on our wedding day from our loving families and fantastic friends.
Having all our friends and family around us on this more than special day meant more to us than anything. They were with us every step of the way, from our engagement party to the wedding and to the reception dinner. It’s good to know you have so many people that care this much about you and are there for you during the good times and the bad. It also helps to have friends that care enough to throw you a wild night with a bachelor party or a mind trippin girls night out bash. There is never a dull moment in our lives with the super great friends we have. Thank you notes could never begin to express how much we appreciate their love and support.
